Sweet natured with a beautiful song. Its only the male canaries that will sing, each type has a different song but all are stunning. Known for being territorial when in a group, so a visual eye is always recommended and a place to separate if needed. Lightweight, elegant beauties, soft in sound, bright in colour and love their own space. Although people do train them to sit on fingers, Canaries are more cage or aviary birds and are not fond of being handled.
