Wycombe confirm departure of Michael Duff days after draw with MK Dons

Wycombe Wanderers have parted company with their Head Coach Michael Duff, whose last game in charge came against MK Dons last weekend.

Duff leaves the Chairboys after just under 12 months in charge, having taken over the Chairboys in September 2025 after the dismissal of predecessor Michael Dodds.

His last game in charge was a 3-3 draw with MK Dons last Saturday, in which Wycombe lead 2-0 at half-time, fell 3-2 behind and scored an equaliser late on.

The Buckinghamshire-based side are currently bottom of the League One table, having failed to win any of the first 5 games of the season. This follows on from a poor end to last season, with Wycombe’s run stretching back to the final weeks of last season seeing them with just one win in their last 13 competitive outings.

Wycombe have confirmed that both Duff and first-team coach Alex Morris will leave with immediate effect, with the Chairboys appointing Tom Hounsell as Interim Head Coach. Hounsell’s first game in charge will be Wycombe’s trip to Leyton Orient this weekend.
