MK Dons have announced the signing of goalkeeper Will Dennis, who joins the League One club from Bournemouth.

The 26-year-old has joined the Dons for an undisclosed fee and signed a deal of undisclosed length at Stadium MK. He is the Dons’ 8th new signing of the summer transfer window.

Dennis joins as a new option for the goalkeeper position at Stadium MK, with the Dons having seen back-up keeper Connal Trueman leave at the end of last season.

The move sees Dennis return to a club he had a brief affiliation with in the early days of his career, with the Bedford-born man having had a trial at MK Dons among others in the early stages of his career.

After a few trials at various clubs, Dennis joined Bournemouth. He made just a single first-team appearance for the Cherries, but has been a regular out on loan, having stints with Guernsey, Wealdstone, Weymouth, Slough, Kilmarnock and Leyton Orient.

MK Dons Head Coach Paul Warne told the club’s official site that he was delighted to get the deal done.

He said, “Will is someone who we have been tracking all summer.

“We had to be patient to get our man, however, to improve on our goalkeeping department we had to make sure we got the acquisition right.

“I really like the way he plays, he’s athletic, aggressive and front-footed. We welcome him to the football club as the latest addition to the squad.”
