Local opticians and audiology specialists Specsavers in Milton Keynes have announced their sponsorship of the city’s largest night-time fundraising event, the Midnight Moo.
Organised by Willen Hospice, the annual Midnight Moo is a popular evening walk that brings the community together to support people living with life-limiting illness. This year’s event will take place on Friday 26 June, starting from Middleton Hall, centre
More than 1,000 participants are expected to take part, choosing between 5- and 10-mile routes along the city’s well-known redway network. The event is regarded as a key fixture in the local calendar, combining fundraising with a strong sense of community spirit.
Specsavers Milton Keynes, which operates stores in centre:mk and Newport Pagnell High Street, has been a long-standing supporter of the Hospice. The sponsorship highlights the company’s continued commitment to supporting local causes.
Steve Moore, Director at Specsavers Milton Keynes, said the business was pleased to once again back the event. He described the Midnight Moo as one of the city’s standout occasions and noted that staff from the company regularly take part in the walk. He also highlighted the impact of the Hospice’s work, adding that many customers and colleagues have benefitted from its care.
