Milton Keynes is officially England’s top recycling city, and the second highest performer in the country according to new Government figures.

Milton Keynes City Council has today revealed its boldest digital innovation yet: the world’s first Robot Mayor, created in tribute to the city’s pioneering status in robotics and its thriving tech sector, where one in three local jobs is tech-related.

Milton Keynes City Council has helped hundreds more local families access free school meals after working closely with schools across the city. 

Milton Keynes City Council is investing £40,000 to boost the city’s grassroots music venues, injecting fresh energy into the night‑time economy with free gigs, new DJ nights and platforms for emerging local talent.

As part of the wider Transport Hub (Saxon Street) improvements, work will begin on 23 March to install three new signalised pedestrian crossings on Princes Way and Albert Street in Bletchley.

It’s been six months since Milton Keynes City Council entered a new contract with Mears to repair and maintain its 11,000 council homes, and 32,000 repairs have since been done in line with new standards set out by council tenants.
