Police appeal after driver collides with police car in Milton Keynes

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a marked police vehicle in Milton Keynes.

The incident happened at approximately 4.39pm on Monday (17/08), when a marked police vehicle was struck by a blue Citroën Berlingo van on V6 Grafton Street just prior to the roundabout junction with Chaffron Way.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that the police officer who was in the vehicle at the time was not injured as a result of the collision.

A male has been arrested and remains in police custody at this time.

In a statement, Thames Valley Police said that their officers wished to hear from anyone that either saw the incident or may have dash-cam footage of what happened.

Their statement said, “Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have relevant dash-camera footage captured in the area at the time of the collision.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Thames Valley Police via our website or by calling 101, quoting INC-20260817-1656

“Any footage or information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could assist the investigation.”
