Two of MK Dons’ early season games have been chosen by Sky Sports for live broadcast.

The Dons’ games against Leicester City and AFC Wimbledon will now have new kick-off times to accommodate live broadcast as per the announcement of the first round of live fixture broadcasts by Sky covering August and September.

MK Dons’ match against Leicester at Stadium MK will remain on Saturday August 29th but will now be a 12:30pm kick-off.

Meanwhile, the Dons’ trip to play AFC Wimbledon in London will now be at 8pm on Thursday September 19th.

The other weekend games up to September 28th will remain as Saturday 3pm kick-offs.

Sky had already planned broadcast confirmed for 2 of the Dons’ opening games. With every game of the Carabao Cup First Round and the opening weekend of the EFL season to be broadcast on Sky, it means that the Dons will be on Sky for their Carabao Cup tie against Norwich City around Saturday August 8th and for their season opener on August 15th away at Oxford United.

The match against Leicester will be the Dons’ first meeting with the Foxes since a Carabao Cup tie in 2022, and a first league meeting with Leicester since the two were in League One during the 2008/09 season. It will also be the Dons’ first match against former boss Russell Martin since his exit from Stadium MK in 2021.

Meanwhile, the trip to play AFC Wimbledon will be MK Dons’ first trip to the Cherry Red Records Stadium since September 2024, and the latest instalment in the post-Dons rivalry between the two sides.
