Jet2 has announced plans for additional flights from London Luton Airport to destinations across Croatia, Greece and Spain in 2027, as well as an extra aircraft coming into operation at the base.
The airline will be running services from the Bedfordshire airport to Malaga, Crete (Chania), Kefalonia, Halkidiki and Dubrovnik for Summer 2027, in response to customers and independent travel agents wanting early guarantees for 2027 services. Three of these routes – specifically the routes to Kefalonia, Halkidiki and Dubrovnik – will be exclusive to Jet2 from London Luton Airport.
In addition to these new routes, Jet2 has extended the summer seasons to Girona and Corfu next year. The company has brought forward the start of flights to Corfu, starting services from 1st April 2027, giving customers the opportunity to take off to the Greek sunshine for the Easter holidays. Jet2 has also brought forward the start of the summer season to Girona to 2nd May and has extended flights and holidays until later in the season, with services operating until 31st October.
To support this expanded programme, Jet2 has invested directly in its operations by adding a fourth aircraft based at London Luton Airport for Summer 27.
The expansion means the airline and tour operator have added almost 90,000 extra seats from London Luton Airport, representing over 700,000 seats on sale in total, a 15% capacity increase from Summer 26.
For Summer 2027, Jet2 now has 27 destinations on sale from London Luton Airport and up to 55 weekly departing flights during peak periods.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, said, “We are looking forward to a busy Summer 2027 season from London Luton Airport and are delighted to be announcing an expanded programme today with five new routes and additional capacity going on sale. Due to the continued demand from customers and independent travel agents for more choice and flexibility, we have once again responded with an even bigger and better programme for Summer 2027. This expansion further strengthens our presence and continued investment in London Luton Airport, and we look forward to a packed Summer 2027 programme, waving eager holidaymakers off on their well-deserved holidays.”
Simon Harley, Interim Director of Aeronautical Revenue at London Luton Airport, added, “We are delighted to see Jet2 launch these five exciting new routes to offer even greater choice for passengers. The confirmation that a fourth Jet2 aircraft will be based at London Luton Airport from Summer 2027 is also wonderful news. Whether it’s drinking in the coffee culture of Croatia or sangria in Spain, or exploring glistening Grecian seas, this enhanced capacity provides even greater flexibility and is a real show of commitment from Jet2 who have created huge excitement and demand since launching at LLA last year. We look forward to welcoming even more passengers through LLA in Summer 2027 to experience the simple, friendly and efficient airport experience as these new services to such sought-after sunshine destinations take to the skies.”
