Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends raises money to improve the experience of patients, families and staff at Bedford Hospital.

The charity supports the hospital by funding equipment, facilities and projects that improve patient care.

The charity has a long history in Bedford. The Bedford Hospitals Charity was established in 1988, while the Friends of Bedford Hospital dates back to the beginning of the NHS in 1946. The two organisations merged in 2019.

Together they have raised more than £11 million for Bedford Hospital.

Recent fundraising has supported areas including cancer services, children's services and patient facilities.
