The charity has a long history in Bedford. The Bedford Hospitals Charity was established in 1988, while the Friends of Bedford Hospital dates back to the beginning of the NHS in 1946. The two organisations merged in 2019.
Together they have raised more than £11 million for Bedford Hospital.
Recent fundraising has supported areas including cancer services, children's services and patient facilities.
