Former MK Dons striker Scott Hogan makes move to Wigan Athletic

Former MK Dons striker Scott Hogan has joined Wigan Athletic on a free transfer, with the striker moving to Lancashire on a short-term deal.

The experienced striker had been without a club since leaving the Dons at the end of last season, with the 34-year-old moving to the Brick Community Stadium on a short term deal that will last until January.

Hogan has since made his debut for the Latics, with the striker featuring for 20 minutes in a match at Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday.

The striker joined MK Dons in 2024 a few months after being released by Birmingham City, with Hogan scoring 9 times in 56 appearances in all competitions in his time at Stadium MK.

Although Hogan stayed at Stadium MK in the summer of 2025, the striker slipped down the pecking order, with Hogan scoring just one goal and with most of his appearances being as a substitute.

Before MK Dons, Hogan had played for clubs such as Rochdale, Brentford, Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Stoke, while he was also capped 12 times by the Republic of Ireland national team.
