Milton Keynes Lightning are thrilled to confirm the return of fan favourite Elliot Lewis for the 2026/27 season.

The 24-year-old forward heads back to MK after an impressive 2025/26 campaign in which he iced in 53 games for the Lightning, posting 12 goals and 11 assists. Lewis also stepped up to the Elite League with Guildford Flames, making five EIHL appearances and finding the net once.

Known for his relentless energy, physical edge and larger-than-life personality, Lewis brings plenty to the Lightning line-up both on and off the ice. A powerful skater with a right-handed shot, “Elz” has become a key presence through his ability to win battles, drive momentum and make an impact in all three zones.

Lewis is excited to return to Milton Keynes and embrace the challenge ahead under new Head Coach Pete Russell.

“I’m incredibly excited to be continuing my time at the Lightning. I think the appointment of Pete Russell will not only get this club where it needs and deserves to be, but improve my personal game and take it to the next level. I can’t wait to be playing back in front of the most passionate and loudest fans in the league. Bring on the challenge and let’s get MK back on top!!”

Russell believes Lewis has all the ingredients for a standout year in Lightning colours.

“I’m pleased to have Elliot Lewis back. Elz is a powerful skater who plays a physical game, and our focus this season is on helping him apply that skill set in the right moments to make a real impact. I think it’s going to be a big year for him.”

Lewis’ return gives the Lightning another important piece as preparations ramp up for the new season. With his connection to the club, growing experience and hunger to improve, supporters can expect to see an even bigger version of Els in 2026/27.

The countdown to puck drop is on, and Elliot Lewis is back where he belongs.

Elliot will continue to wear his number 29 jersey for the 2026/27 season. Supporters will have the opportunity to Own and Loan his jersey now.  Please email dave@b2promodesign.com, stating the jersey type – Light, Dark, Warm-Up or any.
