Milton Keynes residents are being offered the opportunity to gain valuable artificial intelligence skills through a fully funded Google AI Professional Certificate, thanks to a new initiative from local employment and training charity WorksForUs.
The charity has partnered with the Good Things Foundation to make the qualification available free of charge, helping local people develop digital skills, improve their employment prospects and gain confidence using AI technology.
With artificial intelligence playing an increasingly important role in workplaces, the course aims to give participants a practical understanding of AI and how it can be used effectively in both professional and everyday situations.
The Google AI Professional Certificate covers the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, including real-world applications and how to use AI tools responsibly and effectively across different working environments.
The course is delivered entirely online, allowing people across Milton Keynes to study from home and fit their learning around existing commitments.
Participants are expected to engage with the course each week and complete their studies within three months of enrolling.
No previous experience of AI is required, although applicants will need a basic level of digital skills to take part.
