Heavy metal and hard rock festival Ozzfest will be holding an edition at the National Bowl music venue in Milton Keynes in 2027.
The Bowl will hold the event on Saturday 10th July 2027, with the line-up to be revealed in due course.
The announcement comes off the back of the 30th anniversary of the first Ozzfest in 1996, named after the late rock megastar and former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne. The event will be the first Ozzfest in the UK since Ozzy’s historic farewell concert Back to the Beginning at Villa Park in Birmingham and subsequent passing in 2025.
Previously held at The National Bowl with editions in 1998 and 2001, including its first ever UK edition, OZZFEST’s 2027 edition promises to keep the flames alive with a line-up curated by Ozzy’s widow Sharon Osbourne. Early Bat tickets go on sale on Friday 6th November at 10am GMT.
Sharon said, “Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival, and Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy.
“Unfortunately, due to continuing construction, Villa Park won’t be ready for any live shows this summer, so we had to relocate to Milton Keynes. The choice was to move Ozzfest or postpone it for another year.”
Promoter Andy Copping said, “It was a huge honour to work with Sharon on Back to the Beginning, so I’m thrilled to be working with her again on Ozzfest and bringing it back to the UK, back to the National Bowl where it all got started. We’re so excited about the line-up we’re putting together, and can’t wait to share it with the fans.”
