Witness appeal following fatal collision on the A5

Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on the A5 near Weedon.

The incident happened at about 3.20am today (May 10) when a white Ford Transit van travelling north on the A5 was in collision with a white DAF box van travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the white Transit van, a 19-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the white DAF box van was taken to University Hospital Coventry with injuries.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the actual collision or either vehicle prior to the incident.
