Families in Milton Keynes can enjoy some spooky fun this Halloween as Midsummer Place brings back its popular Big Trick or Treat event, with free activities, sweet treats and prizes to be won.
Taking place on Saturday 31 October, from 11am to 3pm, the shopping centre will be welcoming little ghosts, witches, monsters and superheroes for an afternoon of Halloween adventures.
The free event invites children and their families to follow a special pumpkin trail around Midsummer Place, hunting for real carved pumpkins displayed in participating shop windows.
When you spot a pumpkin, simply head inside the store to collect a sweet or treat before continuing your journey around the centre.
A number of retailers have already signed up to take part, including Toni & Guy, Sports Direct, Suit Direct and LEGO, with more stores expected to join in.
Children are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite fun and friendly Halloween costumes and bring along their own pumpkin buckets to collect their goodies.
More Halloween fun throughout half-term
The Big Trick or Treat isn't the only Halloween activity taking place at Midsummer Place.
Throughout the October half-term holiday, visitors can discover a giant Halloween selfie coffin, providing a spooky backdrop for family photographs.
There's also a chance to win a prize by taking part in a Halloween guessing competition.
Visitors will be challenged to work out how many creepy eyeballs are hiding inside a mysterious cauldron, with a prize up for grabs.
It's all part of Midsummer Place's Halloween celebrations, giving families another reason to visit the city centre during the school holidays.
When is the Big Trick or Treat?
The Big Trick or Treat takes place at Midsummer Place Shopping Centre in Central Milton Keynes on Saturday 31 October 2026, between 11am and 3pm.
The event is completely free to attend, and families can join in at any point during the four-hour session.
Treats will be available from participating retailers while stocks last, so arriving earlier could give little trick-or-treaters the best chance of collecting their Halloween goodies.
Don't forget to bring your pumpkin bucket, dress up in your favourite costume and keep an eye out for those pumpkins in the shop windows!
