Red Bull settled for minor points from the sprint race at the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.

Max Verstappen would finish in 6th position, earning 3 points for the Milton Keynes-based team, while stand-in teammate Liam Lawson crossed the line in 11th.

In a sprint race with very little on-track action, the minor points means that Verstappen moved up to 112 points for the campaign, with Red Bull moving up to 180.

The race brought a change to the Red Bull line-up for the first event after F1’s summer break, with Isack Hadjar sidelined through a wrist injury. Lawson was promoted to the Red Bull Racing team from their junior team Racing Bulls, with former Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda moved from his role as reserve driver to partner Verstappen in the weekend.

As it was, however, neither driver would manage to get anywhere. Both resisted attacks on the opening lap of the sprint race, but neither Verstappen nor Lawson was able to make much of an attack on the respective drivers in front over the course of the 24 lap event.

Qualifying would be held later on Saturday for the full-distance Dutch Grand Prix tomorrow (23/08). The two Red Bulls will start alongside one another, with Verstappen 7th and Lawson directly behind in 8th position.
