Camphill site to be rebranded Camphill MK and Northants

Camphill Milton Keynes will now be known as Camphill Milton Keynes & Northants after the centre’s expansion of services into Northamptonshire.

Hailed by the centre as marking an important milestone in their continued growth and development, Camphill said that the new name followed the successful integration of services previously known as William Blake House. The move is intended to reflect their commitment to the communities we support across both Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.

For more than forty years, Camphill MK has supported adults with learning disabilities to live lives of dignity, purpose, meaningful relationships and genuine community. Today, they support more than 100 residents and employ over 200 staff across a growing network of services.

In their words, the organisation said, “The transition to Camphill Milton Keynes & Northants represents more than a name change. It reflects the coming together of two organisations with shared founding principles and Camphill tradition, and a common belief that people with learning disabilities should be respected as individuals empowered to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.”

Camphill Milton Keynes and Northants added that they want to emphasise that the change does not affect services or their ongoing commitment to the people we support. The rebrand is part of a wider journey to build one organisation united by shared values, purpose, and a commitment to enabling people with learning disabilities to lead rich, connected, and meaningful lives.

Tim Davies, Chief Executive of Camphill Milton Keynes & Northants, said, “This new name reflects who we are today and the communities we are proud to serve. As we have grown, it became increasingly important that our identity recognised both Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire, and the people who live, work and build community across both areas.

“The integration of the services formerly known as William Blake House has strengthened our organisation, bringing together dedicated staff, residents and families who share the same values and vision. We are excited about the future and remain committed to providing outstanding support while preserving the sense of community and belonging that is at the heart of everything we do.”

Whilst the public-facing name will change to Camphill Milton Keynes & Northants, the organisation’s registered legal name will remain Camphill Milton Keynes Communities Ltd.
