Milton Keynes Lightning are delighted to announce the return of dynamic forward Jordan Cownie for the 2026/27 season.
Cownie, a highly skilled and experienced British forward, returns to MKL following another impressive campaign in the NIHL National Division. During the 2025/26 season, he registered 75 points (28 goals, 47 assists) in 44 league appearances.
A proven performer at multiple levels of the game, Cownie brings a wealth of experience to the Lightning line-up. Across his Elite League career, he has accumulated 186 points (54 goals, 132 assists) in 375 appearances, showcasing his ability to produce at a high level and influence games offensively.
Now entering another season with Milton Keynes, Cownie continues to be a central figure within the squad, combining creativity, speed, and leadership. Known for his ability to turn a game in an instant, he remains one of the most dangerous British forwards in the league.

Jordan is one of those players who can genuinely change a game, highly talented, a trusted leader, and one of the most experienced voices in our dressing room. Cownie’s return to MK Lightning’s core as the club continues to build a competitive roster for the upcoming season, blending experience, leadership, and high-end offensive talent.
Jordan will continue to wear his number 95 jersey for the 2026/27 season. Supporters will have the opportunity to Own and Loan his jersey from 10pm on Friday by contacting dave@b2promodesign.com, stating the jersey type – Light, Dark, Warm-Up or any.
