Woughton Community Council is inviting local families to enjoy another free community cinema screening, as the popular initiative returns with Super Mario Galaxy on Thursday 29 October.
The Community Cinema has been set up to give local children and families the chance to enjoy a cinema experience close to home, without the cost that can sometimes make a family trip to the cinema difficult.
Cllr Penny Glasgow, Community Councillor for Leadenhall, said:
“It’s wonderful to see activities like the Community Cinema giving local families something fun that they can enjoy together, right on their doorstep. With the cost of a family day out becoming increasingly expensive, we want to make sure there are still good-quality activities that everyone in our community can take part in.”
The next screening will feature Super Mario Galaxy, with doors opening at 10.00am and the film beginning at 10.15am. The screening will finish at approximately 11.50am.

Screenings take place on a huge screen in the main auditorium at Milton Keynes Academy, providing attendees a real cinema experience close to home.
The project started in 2022 and has now expanded into a partnership between Woughton Community Council, Leadenhall Residents Association, Milton Keynes Academy and Friends of New Chapter P.T.A.
The Community Cinema forms part of Woughton Community Council’s wider programme of activities designed to make its community buildings welcoming, active spaces for residents of all ages.
Alongside the cinema, the Council supports a growing programme of community cafés, arts and wellbeing activities, sport, music and family events across Woughton.
