Ed Byrne, Sara Pascoe and More to Headline Milton Keynes’ First City-Wide Comedy Festival

Clear your diary for 9–12 July 2026. Seriously.

Milton Keynes is about to get its funny bone well and truly tickled as the city prepares to host its very first Milton Keynes Comedy Festival — a four-day celebration of stand-up, improv and downright ridiculousness, right in the heart of the city centre.

Created by MyMiltonKeynes BID in partnership with The Comedy Cow, this brand-new festival isn’t just bringing a couple of gigs to town. It’s taking over. Think MK Gallery, centre:mk, BrewDog, Blossom Room, Revolución de Cuba, Midsummer Tap, Merkur, The Residence Bar & Kitchen and more — all transformed into stages for some of the biggest names in UK comedy.

In other words? Milton Keynes is becoming a comedy playground. And you’re invited.

The Line-Up (Yes, It’s a Big One)

The 2026 line-up reads like a roll call of British comedy heavyweights. We’re talking Ed Byrne, Joe Pasquale, Sara Pascoe, Simon Brodkin, Rhys James, Nina Benjamin, Matt Richardson, Ria Lina, Felicity Ward, Fiona Allen, Darren Harriott, Hal Cruttenden, Brennan Reece, Tez Ilyas and Eshaan Akbar.

It’s blockbuster. It’s bold. And it’s right on your doorstep.

From household names you’ve seen lighting up panel shows to rising stars shaking up the circuit, there’s a little something for every comedy taste — whether you love razor-sharp satire, playful storytelling or the kind of chaotic energy that leaves your cheeks aching.

More Than Just Stand-Up

But this isn’t just about big headliners stepping up to a mic.

The festival is also serving up alternative and interactive experiences that promise to keep things fresh (and occasionally gloriously unpredictable). Expect the cult chaos of John Robertson’s Dark Room, the fast-paced brilliance of Noise Next Door, the clever twists of CSI: Crime Scene Improvisation, the interactive madness of Wifi Wars and even A Star Wars Improv Show for the sci-fi fans among you.

And yes — there’s even the much-loved Faulty Towers dining experience. Dinner. Drama. Deliciously awkward chaos. What’s not to love?

It’s comedy — but not as you know it.

A City-Wide Celebration

Jill Farnsworth, CEO of MyMiltonKeynes BID, says the excitement has been building fast, with an incredible response from across the city. And it’s easy to see why.

This isn’t just another date in the events calendar. It’s the first ever city-wide comedy festival for Milton Keynes — a moment that feels big, bold and brilliantly overdue.

The Comedy Cow has curated a mix of major stars, rising talent and innovative shows, all brought together across the city centre. And if this is just the beginning, as they suggest, MK could be carving out a reputation as a serious comedy hotspot.

Not bad for four days in July.
