Police in Milton Keynes open murder investigation after death of teenager

A murder investigation has been opened by police following the death of a 19-year-old man in Milton Keynes.

The investigation regards an incident that happened yesterday (05/07), when officers were called to Bradwell Common at 4.23pm by South Central Ambulance Service after they attended and found a man with injuries believed to be stab wounds.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he sadly later died. The man’s next of kin have been informed, however formal identification and post-mortem processes are yet to take place.

One person has been arrested as part of our ongoing enquiries and remains in police custody.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed an investigation overseen by their Major Crime Unit has commenced into the events that happened.

Senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Superintendent Ailsa Kent of the Major Crime Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has sadly died this evening.

“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and would like to speak to anyone who was in the Eelbrook Avenue area of Bradwell Common, specifically near to or in the playground, between 3:30pm and 4.30pm and witnessed an altercation.

“We are also appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from around the redway running parallel to H5 Portway at around that time to review it and please contact us if you believe it may assist our investigation.

“No matter how small it may seem, your information could be vital to our investigation.”
