Parks Trust in MK asks for people to take care of city's park while enjoying them in summer sun

The Parks Trust of Milton Keynes have asked for local people to look after the city’s parks while enjoying the summer sunshine.

With the arrival of sunshine and warmer weather, the trust have provided tips for trying to preserve the city’s parks.

With over 6,000 acres to explore, and assorted fun activities such as walks, cycling, events, family games and picnics, the Parks Trust has said the city’s parks will have lots to entertain people.

But they have also asked that to help keep these spaces clean and safe, the people of Milton Keynes follow some guidance so that everyone can have a fun, enjoyable and safe time in the sunshine.

Guidance includes asking people not to use BBQs, gas stoves or fires, take litter home or use bins where provided, respect other park users, wildlife, livestock, and habitats, and care for nature – don’t cause damage or disturbance.

Other guidance also said to act safely, especially around water, keep dogs under control and clear up their waste, be considerate to those volunteering and working in the park and for no overnight parking or camping
