A man in his 20s has died after he was stabbed outside a birthday event in Birmingham.
The man died outside the Beggars Bush pub in Sutton Coldfield just before 2am on Sunday.
West Midlands Police have since launched a murder investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Chester Road, but the man could not be saved.
Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Follows said: "Our investigation is at an early stage, and our thoughts are with the man's family and friends today.
"We will continue to support them as our investigation progresses, and I'd urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has dashcam or CCTV to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
The Beggars Bush pub was hosting a "birthday bash" event with "big tunes, big energy, singalongs, dancing & vibes until 3AM!", according to a post on social media.
