AIB Group Returns as Official Community Partner and Platinum Sponsor for 2026/27

lifestack MK Lightning are delighted to announce the return of AIB Group as the club’s Official Community Partner and Platinum Sponsor for the 2026/27 season, continuing one of the club’s most valued partnerships on and off the ice.

Based in Milton Keynes, AIB Group is a leading provider of security, systems and training services, delivering tailored solutions across the civilian, police and military sectors. As well as proudly supporting the club as a Platinum Sponsor, AIB Group will once again oversee matchnight security at Planet Ice Milton Keynes, helping to provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for supporters throughout the season.

Continuing a Valued Partnership

While their work on game nights is invaluable, the partnership extends far beyond the arena doors.

Together, MK Lightning and AIB continue to drive meaningful change through the Community Foundation, an initiative created to support charities, community groups and local organisations across Milton Keynes. Since its launch, the Foundation has gone from strength to strength, using the platform of sport to make a positive difference throughout the city.

Supporting the Milton Keynes Community

Throughout the 2025/26 season, the AIB Group Community Foundation welcomed a number of local organisations to Planet Ice Milton Keynes, including 5onit, Kinship Carers, YMCA Milton Keynes, CHUMS and military veterans, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the matchday experience while raising awareness of the incredible work they do within the community.

The Foundation also continued its commitment to supporting those most in need during the festive period, with MK Lightning supporters once again donating an incredible collection of essential items for UnityMK. Thanks to the generosity of the Lightning family, hundreds of vital supplies were donated to help support local people experiencing homelessness during the winter months.

The success of these initiatives highlights what can be achieved when local businesses, community organisations and sports clubs work together, and both MK Lightning and AIB are excited to continue expanding the Foundation’s impact throughout the 2026/27 season.

Aaron, Kellie and the entire team at AIB Group remain passionate supporters of the club and the wider Milton Keynes community, and their continued investment plays a significant role in helping MK Lightning deliver more than just ice hockey.
