The Sycamores to open its doors to the Bletchley community following refurbishment

Residents are being invited to celebrate the official opening of The Sycamores in Bletchley following its refurbishment, with a free community event planned for Saturday 17 October.

Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council will host the celebrations from 10am to 2pm, giving residents the chance to explore the newly refurbished space and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and activities for all ages.

The event will include entertainment, arts and crafts, face painting and complimentary refreshments, available while supplies last. There will also be an opportunity to look around the building and discover how the space could be used by the local community.

Mayor of Bletchley and Fenny Stratford, Ethaniel Kelly-Wilson, said the council was excited to welcome residents through the doors and hoped the opening would mark the beginning of a new chapter for the venue.

The Mayor said the ambition was for The Sycamores to become a community hub where people could meet, make friends, take part in activities, celebrate special occasions and access services.

He also encouraged residents to help shape the future of the venue by suggesting new groups, activities and events.

The opening is also intended to connect community groups and local organisations with opportunities to use the space. Whether residents already run a group, are considering starting a new activity or simply need somewhere to meet, the council is keen to hear their ideas.

The council hopes The Sycamores will develop into a welcoming space for the whole community, with the opening celebration providing an opportunity for residents to discover what it has to offer.

The event takes place at The Sycamores, Drayton Road, Bletchley, MK2 3RR, on Saturday 17 October 2026, from 10am to 2pm.

Admission is free, everyone is welcome and no booking is required.
