Luton Town will begin the 2026/27 season by making the trip to play Reading in Berkshire.

The Hatters’ first test of the new season will see them visit the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday August 15th.

Reading finished 12th in League One last season, but despite finishing behind Luton in the table, they did cause Luton trouble after winning both home and away contests.

Jack Wilshere’s side will welcome Notts County to Kenilworth Road for their first home game of the campaign a week later, with the Hatters visiting Mansfield for their final clash in August.

September will then commence with back-to-back home games against Stockport County and Leyton Orient as part of a busy campaign.

The Hatters will face MK Dons in October at Stadium MK in their first meeting with the side from the adjacent city since 2005. October will also see Luton face off against Leicester City as the Hatters welcome the 2016 Premier League champions to Kenilworth Road.

A noteworthy fixture will take place in late November, with the Hatters welcoming Oxford United in a contest that will see Luton boss Jack Wilshere take on his former Arsenal teammate Aaron Ramsey.

On Boxing Day, Luton will host last season’s League 2 champions Bromley. The Hatters’ final outing before Christmas will see them visit another side not in League 1 last season in the form of recently relegated Sheffield Wednesday.

After Boxing Day, Luton will visit AFC Wimbledon in their final game of 2026, before a long trip to start 2027 when the Hatters make the trip south west to face Plymouth Argyle.

Luton’s return fixture against Plymouth at Kenilworth Road will take place on Good Friday, which is on March 26th, while the other side of the Easter double header will see Luton visit Wigan Athletic.

The final game of the 2026/27 season will see Luton welcome Blackpool to Kenilworth Road, with their final away match coming against Cambridge United a week earlier.

The fixture list is subject to change pending TV selections and any weather-related postponements.

The announcement comes on part of a busy day of EFL-related announcements, with the Carabao Cup First Round draw and the EFL Trophy’s allocation of academy sides being made later today (25/06).
