Bedfordshire Open Door provides free and confidential professional counselling to young people aged 13 to 25 living in Bedford Borough or North Central Bedfordshire.
The charity has been supporting young people for more than 25 years.
Young people can self-refer by telephone, text or email and can access counselling face-to-face, online or by telephone.
Counselling gives young people an opportunity to talk about whatever is troubling them with a trained professional who is independent of their family, school or other circumstances.
What can young people talk about?
There is no prescribed list of problems. Young people can talk about whatever is important to them, including relationships, family difficulties, school, anxiety, confidence, emotions or other concerns.
The service is confidential, although there are circumstances where information may need to be shared to protect someone from significant harm.
