Investment brings new gym facilities to Woughton Leisure Centre

Brand-new state-of-the art gym facilities are officially available to use at Woughton Leisure Centre, giving MK residents access to upgraded equipment, improved training spaces and a modern new look.

The improvements are part of a wider programme following Milton Keynes City Council securing a £3 million investment earlier this year for upgrades across Woughton Leisure Centre, Windmill Hill Golf Centre and Bletchley Leisure Centre. The funding forms part of a new long-term contract with Serco Leisure and More Leisure Community Trust.

More Leisure Community Trust, which operates Woughton Leisure Centre, has already invested £250,000 in delivering the newly refurbished gym.

Other changes include:

• New cardio kit to keep workouts varied and engaging
• Improved resistance machines
• Brand-new flooring creating a fresh, modern feel
• An enhanced multifunctional space on the ground floor, offering greater flexibility for training

Members of Woughton Leisure Centre can now also use the Bletchley Leisure Centre gym at no extra cost.

The investment follows a new long-term agreement bringing all three leisure sites under a single contract for up to 15 years. The longer-term approach gives partners greater confidence to invest in facilities and deliver improvements for residents. Further improvements across the three facilities will be announced in due course.
