A 34-year-old man has been arrested and four dogs seized from a house and vehicle following a police operation in Northampton.
Officers attended Vernon Walk in the town on Wednesday morning (July 27).
The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a dog dangerously out of control, causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal as well as using a vehicle without the correct insurance. One dog was seized from the property and three from a vehicle.
All were taken to kennels in Northamptonshire. The operation was part of Northamptonshire Police’s 12 Weeks of Action campaign, which this week is targeting serious violence.
The man has been released under investigation.
