CCTV: Attempted theft from a motor vehicle in Northampton

Police have released a CCTV image of two people they wish to speak to in connection with an incident in St Peter’s car park, Northampton.

The incident happened on Saturday, February 19, between 1.05am and 1.20am, when a man about to go to a local gym was approached by two unknown men who claimed they were police officers.

After a discussion, one of the suspects attempted to grab the keys from the victim’s vehicle but he pushed them off and quickly drove away. 

The two men in the image could assist police with their enquiries and they, or anyone who recognises them should call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
