A brand-new, state-of-the-art soft play opened at Daventry Leisure Centre on Saturday, June 6.
The centre, run by award-winning operator Everyone Active in partnership with West Northamptonshire Council, is currently undergoing a number of upgrades.
Standing at nearly eight metres high, the soft play features slides, obstacle courses, a mini football pitch, party rooms and much more, allowing children to get active and have fun in a variety of environments.
It is a significant increase in size on the centre’s previous soft play, which will be replaced by a Reformer studio opening on Saturday, June 20. Reformer is performed on a specialist machine with adjustable resistance and a moving platform, providing a versatile workout that can be tailored for individual fitness levels.
Lloyd Barraclough, Everyone Active’s area contract manager, said: “The opening of this state-of-the-art soft play is great news for families in the local community. Youngsters now have an amazing area in which to get active and boost their physical and mental wellbeing, all in a safe environment.”
Cllr Kamala Guliyeva, Cabinet Member for Local Economy, Culture and Leisure, said: “This new soft play area and Reformer studio form part of a wider programme of significant development and improvement across our leisure centres, and it’s fantastic to see this facility is now opening here in Daventry.
“The development supports our ambition to help people of all ages across West Northamptonshire improve their physical and mental wellbeing by encouraging active and healthy lifestyles in welcoming environments.
“By introducing modern, innovative and inclusive fitness options, we are helping to ensure residents of all ages and abilities have access to high-quality facilities close to home.”
