Police appeal after cashpoint in Bletchley targeted with chainsaw

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cashpoint at a supermarket in the Bletchley area of Milton Keynes was targeted with a chainsaw.

The incident happened at around 12.20am last Wednesday (29/04), when a group of four men broke into an ATM with a chainsaw outside of the Newton Leys Asda store on Islay Court in Bletchley.

In their appeal, Thames Valley Police said that the group were described as wearing all black clothing and balaclavas. One of the men was dressed in a high-vis orange jacket. The group then left the area in a dark coloured vehicle.

The police appeal said, “We are currently carrying out a number of enquiries, including checking CCTV in the area. As part of our ongoing investigation we would like to hear from any witnesses, or anyone driving through the area who may have captured dash cam footage of the incident.
