Lauryn Hill to bring Diaspora Calling Festival to Milton Keynes National Bowl for UK debut

Acclaimed rapper and singer Lauryn Hill has announced her festival Diaspora Calling will make its UK debut in August with a night at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes.

The event will be taking place at Milton Keynes National Bowl on Friday 7 August 2026, with tickets going on sale next week.

Curated and headlined by Ms. Lauryn Hill, the festival is intended as a celebration of African and Caribbean culture through music, art and community.

Another acclaimed artist in Wyclef Jean is one of the first acts confirmed, alongside rising talents including YG Marley and Zion Marley. Additional acts are expected to be announced in due course.

The event marks the UK debut of the Diaspora Calling festival, which was first held in 2016 and has taken place on multiple occasions since at venues in the US.

In a statement on Instagram, Hill confirmed the news, as well as highlighting that tickets go on sale on March 31st.

She said, “On Friday 7th August, I’m bringing something special to the stage at the Milton Keynes National Bowl.

“Diaspora Calling! – A celebration of sound, culture, art and connection.

“I’ll be joined by family and powerful voices: Wyclef Jean, YG Marley, Zion Marley and very special guests…

“Exciting full line up announced soon, covering hip-hop, R&B, reggae, dancehall, afrobeats & beyond.

“Tickets go on sale Tuesday 31st March at 9AM, signing up is essential. Sign up via diasporacalling.com”
