Being Human

Friday, 13 March 2026 - 42 minutes

In this episode of the Being Human / Chiropractic Revolution podcast, Dr Alun Walker speaks with chiropractor Dr Kris Harm about his remarkable journey from Sweden to building a successful chiropractic career in the United Kingdom.

Kris reflects on how a serious gymnastics injury at the age of sixteen introduced him to chiropractic for the first time and changed the course of his life. After studying at the Scandinavian Chiropractic College, he moved to London in the late 1990s with determination but very little support, learning the realities of running a chiropractic practice through experience, persistence and curiosity.

The conversation explores the challenges many new chiropractors face when leaving university, particularly the lack of business training and mentorship available early in their careers. Kris explains how those experiences motivated him to create a support network for students and new graduates, helping them develop both the practical and philosophical foundations needed to succeed in practice.

They also discuss the role of chiropractic philosophy, the famous 33 principles, and why understanding the bigger picture of health and wellbeing can transform both the practitioner and the patient experience. Kris shares how conferences, podcasts, books and community learning have shaped his approach, as well as the influence of mentors and colleagues throughout his career.

Along the way, the discussion touches on writing books, creating resources for patients, the relationship between food and health, and the importance of curiosity, personal development and continuous learning within the profession.

This episode offers valuable insight for chiropractic students, new graduates and experienced practitioners alike, highlighting the power of mentorship, community and a lifelong commitment to growth.
