A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of an 82-year-old woman who died in a Glasgow street.
Elizabeth Colligan was found injured on Cardowan Road at around 4.20am on Saturday.
Emergency crews attended, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland launched Operation Duomo and arrested and charged Grant McKinnon, 30, in connection with the incident.
McKinnon appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday charged with murder and sending a grossly offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing message.
The suspect, of no fixed address, made no plea to the two charges and was remanded in custody. He is due back in the dock within the next eight days.
Police Scotland earlier said enquiries remain ongoing.
An online portal has been set up so that anyone with information can submit details directly to the inquiry team.
