16 community projects shortlisted for City Council match-funding

Milton Keynes City Council has set aside another £100,000 this year to help deliver 16 new community projects across the city’s towns and parishes.

The Community Infrastructure Fund, available annually since 2019 to all 48 town and parish councils in Milton Keynes, supports local improvements that might otherwise be difficult to fund or deliver. Each parish council can submit up to three bids for local facilities, with a maximum combined request of £20,000.

Projects must demonstrate clear benefits to the local area, address a longstanding or safety-related issue, and show evidence of community support.

Since its launch, the City Council has helped to deliver more than 97 initiatives through the Fund, ranging from flood prevention measures and new play equipment to speed indicator devices and solar panel installations.
