A new report published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated Milton Keynes City Council’s adult social care services as some of the best in the country, describing services as “supportive, empowering and responsive”.

Milton Keynes City Council has signed a new agreement with major developers and landowners to strengthen Milton Keynes’ national role as a provider of homes, infrastructure, jobs and well-planned communities.

Today (23 January) marks a major milestone for Milton Keynes: exactly one year until the city is 60 years old, having been officially designated as a New Town on 23 January 1967.

Milton Keynes City Council is planning to expand the city’s 1,400 specialist school places by a further 200, with the infrastructure paid for using money from developers as the city grows.

Milton Keynes City Council’s local elections will take place on Thursday 7 May, and every single council seat will be contested under brand-new ward boundaries.

Milton Keynes City Council is strengthening how it works with tenants and leaseholders, giving residents more opportunities to help shape the future of housing services across the city.
