Police appeal as two arrested after assault in Milton Keynes

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Milton Keynes which has left a man with serious injuries.

The incident happened around 11.40pm on Saturday night (18/4), when Thames Valley Police said their officers received multiple reports that a group of people wearing balaclavas were placing a man into a vehicle in the Goring area of Stantonbury.

Officers attended the scene and located a man in his twenties with several stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The victim remains in hospital at this time in a non‑life‑threatening condition.

Police confirmed that a 20-year-old man and a 58-year-old man, both from Milton Keynes, have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and wounding with intent. Both remain in police custody.

Police staff investigator Graeme Robinson of Milton Keynes CID said, “This was a serious and distressing incident, and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to establish exactly what has happened.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Goring area of Stantonbury last night, or who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident, to please come forward.

“Even information which may seem insignificant could be important to our investigation.

“At this time, we believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public. Officers are continuing to be present in the area and are happy to speak with anyone who has concerns or questions.”
