Kane Thompson-Sommers has left MK Dons to sign for Fleetwood Town, in a week that also saw ex-Dons man Luke Offord return to Crewe.
Thompson-Sommers has left the Dons to join Fleetwood for an undisclosed fee, with the 25-year-old midfielder signing a two year deal to sign for the Cod Army.
The midfielder scored 3 times in 49 appearances after joining MK Dons from Halifax Town in 2024. He spent the second half of last season on loan with Bristol Rovers, making 14 appearances as the Pirates stayed up in League Two.
In a statement, MK Dons said, “Kane is very well-thought of at Stadium MK and has been a valuable member of the team both on and off the pitch throughout his time in Milton Keynes.
“Everyone at MK Dons would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kane for his contribution to the Dons and wish him the very best of luck for his future.”
Meanwhile, ex-Dons man Offord has made his move after being released by MK Dons at the end of last season, with the defender/midfielder returning to Crewe two years on from leaving Crewe to move to Milton Keynes.
The 26-year-old is the second of those released by MK Dons at the end of the season to have confirmed a move this week, with Joe Tomlinson have signed for Cheltenham Town.
Offord made 89 appearances in 2 seasons after joining the Dons from Crewe in 2024, including making 45 appearances in all competitions as the Dons won promotion from League Two in the 2025/26 campaign.
