The perfect film to take friends to the cinema. We went to see Wuthering Heights last night and it honestly ticked every box.
There were laughs, tears, moments of full-body cringing, and just enough spice to keep us all leaning forward in our seats. It’s one of those films where you’re constantly reacting — gasping, whispering “oh no…”, then laughing at yourselves moments later.
The acting was incredibly strong — especially from Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, who were both intense, emotional, and completely absorbing. You really feel drawn into the relationships and drama.
We hadn’t read the book beforehand, so we didn’t know what to expect, which made the experience even better. Now we all want to read it. If the novel is anything like the film, we’re ready to be emotionally ruined all over again.
4.5 out of 5 — a brilliant cinema watch, especially with good friends and a willingness to feel everything.
