Milton Keynes Christmas Light Switch On 2025

Saturday 22nd November | 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM | The Point Car Park | FREE Entry

Get ready for a magical afternoon of festive cheer as Milton Keynes lights up for Christmas! The city’s official Christmas Lights Switch-On returns on Saturday 22nd November 2025, promising an unforgettable celebration of music, laughter and community spirit – all for free.

From 2:00 PM, The Point car park in Central Milton Keynes will be transformed into a festive wonderland, with fairground rides, street entertainment and mischievous comedy elves spreading Christmas joy throughout the crowd. Families are encouraged to come early and soak up the atmosphere before the main stage entertainment begins.

At 4:00 PM, the stage bursts into life with a heart-warming performance from the children of Christ the Sower Primary School, followed by the powerful harmonies of the Milton Keynes Rock Choir, directed by talented pianist and singer Rob Baker. With over a decade of community performances, the Rock Choir has become a highlight of Milton Keynes’ festive calendar.

Adding a touch of classic swing and sophistication, local favourite Ollie Corbett – known internationally for performing with the swing-pop group Jack Pack – will delight the crowd with his smooth jazz vocals and timeless charm.

Hosting the celebrations once again is comedian and internationally recognised magician David Allen, bringing his signature humour and festive flair to the stage. And of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit from the big man himself – Father Christmas will make a special appearance to push the plunger and light up the city’s spectacular decorations. The Christmas lights will illuminate Midsummer Boulevard, Midsummer Place Shopping Centre, 12th Street, and the brand-new Christmas tree outside Milton Keynes Theatre and MK Gallery.

The festivities will conclude in style at around 5:15 PM, with a dazzling fireworks display lighting up the Milton Keynes sky – the perfect finale to a day of festive fun.

So wrap up warm, grab a hot chocolate, and join Horizon Radio for a magical evening celebrating the start of Christmas in Milton Keynes!
