Silverstone Museum is accelerating its commitment to education with the official launch of its new STEM Pitstop Outreach Programme, unveiled today.
Education sits at the heart of the museum’s mission, with more than 16,000 educational visits recorded in both 2024 and 2025. Building on that success, the new outreach initiative will take expert-led STEM learning directly into schools and colleges across the UK.
The free programme is designed to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists through engaging, hands-on workshops. Using real Formula 1 and motorsport technology, the sessions bring science, technology, engineering and maths to life in an exciting and accessible way for young people.
The STEM Pitstop Outreach Programme will offer bespoke sessions for learners of all ages, including specialist provision for SEN students and out-of-school groups. By removing barriers to access, Silverstone Museum aims to broaden participation in STEM education nationwide.
The initiative is supported by strategic partner Aramco and forms part of the museum’s wider ambition to nurture future talent within the UK’s world-leading motorsport and engineering sectors.
Silverstone Museum says the programme represents a major step forward in its mission to connect education with real-world innovation, helping young people see the exciting career opportunities available within STEM industries.
Schools, colleges and community groups across Britain will be able to benefit from the new outreach workshops as the programme rolls out.
