Police appeal as motorcyclist seriously injured in road traffic collision in Milton Keynes

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Milton Keynes that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.

The incident occurred just before 5.40pm on Tuesday (15/7) on the H9 Groveway.

A red Honda motorcycle was travelling on the H9 Groveway in the direction of the V10 Brickhill Street, when it was involved in a collision with a black Kia Sorento at the junction of Marshworth in the Tinkers Bridge area of the city.

The motorcyclist, a man in his thirties, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains there at this time. The driver of the Kia Sorento was uninjured.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that a 53-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit and causing serious injury by careless driving. He has since been released under investigation.

Investigating officer Polly Rayner said, “I am appealing for witnesses to this collision, which has resulted in serious injuries to a man.

“If you saw the collision itself or either of the vehicles involved beforehand, please come forward with any information.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area at the time to check their dash-cam footage, as it may have captured something that could help with our enquiries.
