Luton defender Daiki Hashioka leaves club for Slavia Prague

Daiki Hashioka has left Luton Town after the Japanese defender joined Czech side Slavia Prague.

The 26-year-old has moved to the reigning Czech champions for an undisclosed fee, with the decision seeing him be the second Luton first team player to leave this week after Carlton Morris joined Derby.

Hashioka leaves after a year and a half at Kenilworth Road, with the defender having joined Luton from Belgian team Sint-Truiden in January 2024 while the Hatters were in the Premier League.

In all, he made 28 appearances for the Hatters, although his last appearance came in February.

In a brief statement, Luton said, “Everyone at Kenilworth Road would like to thank Hashi for his service and wish him the best for his future career.”
