MK Dons' home ground Stadium MK to host South Korea v Ivory Coast friendly

South Korea will play Ivory Coast in a World Cup warm-up friendly in Milton Keynes at Stadium MK.

The two teams will play one another in a match at the MK Dons home stadium on Saturday 28th March, which will be a 2pm start.

The clash during the upcoming international break will see two sides who have qualified for the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico, which begins in 100 days time.

South Korea will be in Group A, alongside co-hosts Mexico, South Africa and one of Denmark, the Republic of Ireland, Czechia or North Macedonia, depending on who wins a play-off taking place later this month.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast will compete in Group E, taking on Germany, Curacao and Ecuador.

Neil Hart, Group CEO of Milton Keynes Dons and the Stadium MK Group, said, “We are incredibly proud to welcome the Korea Republic and the Ivory Coast to Stadium MK.

“Hosting an international fixture of this calibre reflects both the quality of our facilities and the ambition of our organisation.

“We look forward to providing a fantastic experience for players, staff and supporters from both nations, as well as showcasing Milton Keynes on the international stage.”

Tickets for the match are available from £15 per person and can be purchased from the MK Dons website.

In their confirmation of the game, MK Dons said that South Korea are the designated home team, with blocks 29 and 30 allocated to supporters of the Ivory Coast.

MK Dons will be in action on that day in a clash with Salford City away at the Ammies’ Peninsula Stadium.
