Support Northamptonshire

Support Northamptonshire is a local charity working across Northamptonshire to help vulnerable people and communities become stronger, more resilient, and empowered. Their focus is especially on supporting Black communities, tackling racial inequalities, and helping local grass-roots organisations that are often under-resourced. What They Do

Offer one-to-one, person-centred support for vulnerable individuals, helping people navigate challenges, strengthen their wellbeing, and achieve defined outcomes.
Enable and coordinate asset-based community-led social action: supporting local people to work together, identify what matters to them, and take action in their neighbourhoods.
Host and support Northamptonshire Black Communities Together (NBCT), which brings together over 25 Black community organisations, working to increase resources, services, and equity for racialised people.
Assist in strengthening other voluntary groups and charities in the county: providing help to adapt, meet needs, manage collaboration and improve their ability to serve their communities.

How It Helps Disadvantaged & Diverse Communities

Support Northamptonshire acts where inequality is most felt. Black and racialised communities, who often face overlapping barriers—economic, health, social—benefit from tailored programmes, partner organisations, and culturally appropriate support. By enabling local Black community organisations, Support Northamptonshire ensures that help is delivered in trusted, accessible ways. Its social action projects (digital inclusion, health, wellbeing, etc.) often focus on those marginalised by poverty, race or social isolation.

How You Can Support or Get Involved

Volunteer: They run social action projects that need volunteers—whether that’s helping people learn digital skills, joining wellbeing activities, or working with outreach.
Donate or Fund: Financial support helps sustain their projects and allows them to make grants or assist smaller community organisations to grow.
Corporate Partnerships: Businesses can contribute through sponsorships, employee volunteering, or funding particular community-led initiatives.
Awareness & Collaboration: Invite them to speak, share information about their work, or connect them with other groups. Encouraging collaboration helps them reach more people.
